Project From iPhones, iPods, iPads And MORE
I always hated when a product came out with a newer and improved version of what I already had. I kind of feel cheated in a way thinking that the manufacturers intentionally held out just so they can come out with the “new and improved” version. But in the case of my Optoma projector, I couldn’t be more thrilled.
I work for a small ad company and we constantly have to come up with presentations and slide shows of projects and such. Before I had the Optoma HD33, which was sufficient for the time being, but I wanted something of better quality and preferably higher resolution. When they came out with the Optoma HD33, I was excited to get it. I was already happy with the HD66, but I knew that the HD33 could further deliver in quality.
Setup Was Easy!
I purchased one online and received it within two days. It wasn’t that much more than an HD66, which I bought over a year ago. The set up was easy, just like before and in no time I had it going. First of all, I like the design of the HD33 better with its organic shape. It has cleaner lines and a more modern appeal. I also like how it was made with long-life materials and uses components that are lead free. It’s great to know that something so sophisticated can also be eco-friendly. The Optoma HD33 also conserves on the amount of energy it uses by consuming only one watt power while on standby. It completely complies with the RoHS standards. Other energy saving features includes a rapid shut down function. It literally takes about a second to turn it off.
It Has So Many Capabilities!
The Optoma HD33 has more capabilities and allows you to project images from iPhones, smart phones, iPods, iPads, game consoles, Apple TVs, cable boxes, camcorders, notebooks, and Blu-ray and DVD players. This time around I also ordered the DLP 3D glasses to go along with the projector. Before I didn’t really find any use for it, but recently I’ve been converting all of my movies to Blu-Ray and have been really enjoying watching some of them in 3D. Not to mention, it’s also a fancy feature that’ll help give my presentations a little more oomph.
Most of all, what I really like about the Optoma HD33 is the 1080p resolution. It’s quite a noticeable improvement from the 720p of the HD66. The pictures are much clearer and brighter. It projects the images seamlessly. It really enhances the movie watching experience on my home theater and not to mention, makes my projects more professional looking. This upgrade alone made this investment definitely worth it.
What Other Buyers Are Saying
I will be getting an Extended Service Warranty, 3 or 4 years would be reasonable, just in case.
