A Really Great Multimedia Projector
I just love to watch movies so when it came to buying a home theater system for our living room, there was no question about it. It was going to be an all out upgrade with the surround sound system and everything. You can’t imagine how excited we all were considering we were upgrading from a Magnavox 26 inch TV and we didn’t even have cable. That almost sounds like torture, but believe it or not we don’t watch TV. But like I mentioned before, we absolutely love movies.
Why This Multimedia Projector Was Our Top Choice
When it came to choosing a 40 inch LCD or a 80 inch projector screen, we chose the screen with a projector to maximize our viewing capacity. First of all, the projector screen was double in size. Secondly, we don’t watch TV so having a brand new one in the house was irrelevant. And best of all, it was cheaper. We decided to go with the Epson EX5200 projector. It came in black which coordinated with the rest of our home theater equipment and it was the better value at only $485. Both the white screen and the projector together were still cheaper than an LCD TV. In addition to getting more bang for our buck, the set up was straightforward and so easy to understand that even someone who isn’t electronic savvy could do, aka me. This all thanks to the USB plug ‘n play instant setup that the Epson EX5200 has.
Brilliant Image Quality
The Epson EX5200 features native XGA resolution and Epson 3LCD technology which produces the brilliant color and amazing image quality. The pictures on the screen are so sharp and clear that you would think you were watching the movie on an actual LCD TV. Every detail and every movement was so flawless. I can’t get over how great the picture quality was even on such a big screen. Now every weekend, we host a family movie night along with some of my nearby relatives. It’s a full house, but since the screen is so big and our living room is roomy, everyone is comfortably accommodated. The only downside is we always seem to run out of popcorn just shortly after the movie starts.
A Lot More Than Just Watching Movies!
I also like the Epson EX5200 because of its versatility. It’s good for more than just watching movies on. We also use it to project worship songs and sermons on during our home bible studies. Our children also use it at their college for power point presentations and other projects. Because the white screen easily rolls up and the projector is compact and light weight, it makes it easy to transport everything from one location to the other. Try doing that with a 40 inch LCD TV effortlessly. Recently our family and friends have asked to borrow it at weddings functions and other big events. Of course family has no charge; friends on the other hand, only $50 an hour.

I’d recommend this projector to anyone who’s looking for a home theater system that’s amazing and at the same time so simple to use.
